In what comes as no suprise to those of us that have two eyes, two ears, and a decent internet connection, Akon has plead guilty to a charge of harassment in the second degree, which is considered a “violation” and not a crime. Akon was sentenced to 65 hours community service and $350 in fines. Outside the courtroom, he apologized to the toss-victim’s family, while the mother jokingly told him, “I could have killed you for throwing my son like that.”
We can only assume that the next time Akon decides to “prove” how gangsta he is to a crowd of concert goers, he’ll let his security handle it instead.
In what comes as no suprise to those of us that realized Barack Obama as our next President four years ago in the speech he gave at the 2004 Democratic Convention, Time has named him Person of the Year. President-elect Obama is continuing to receive due recognition for his historic achievement. We all know that it’s going to take more than four years to clean up the mess that President Bush has left behind, but we’re more than certain that this is the man that’s up for the task.
Eva Pigford or “Eva Marcelle”, as she likes to be known, recently delivered a fierce photo shoot with celebrity photographer Derek Blanks. We loved this girl when she was on Americas Top Model, but it’s nice to see that she can still take some hot photos! We’ve noticed that her role as Tyra on the Young & the Restless seems to be growing. Hopefully she’ll get signed as a permanent cast member. We notice how Neal is starting to check her out. Keep it up girl!
Former TLC singer, T-Boz, is another victim of the sad state of the housing market. She too has is reportedly losing her home.
According to TMZ, the 10,000-sq. ft. Georgia home of T-Boz (real name: Tionne Watkins) is set to go on the auction block in January 2009, after failing to make her mortgage payments.
Public records indicate that the singer has defaulted on the original principal of her mortgage, which is reportedly around $530,000, and now the state has taken it.
T-Boz is not the first of a long list of celebrities who can’t make their house payments.
Following news of Ed McMahon who got bailed out by Donald Trump when he was in a crunch, also the likes of hip-hop mogul Damon Dash, and most recently “American Idol” winner Fantasia, are among celebs who lost their homes to foreclosure.
Dang girl, didn’t you try the Hope for Homeowners Hotline?
