We All know that “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin was very displeased after Beyonce called Tina Turner “The Queen” in a tribute on the Grammy Awards. Well now, Aretha is fuming over remarks made by Tina her “arch nemesis”.
Tina, who is currently on tour commented in a very recent interveiw:
”She’s the queen of soul, and I’m the queen of rock ‘n’ roll. There were so many kings and queens there that night. Her ego must be so big to think she was the only one.”
[laughing] “That’s how queens are!”
Well “Queen Franklin” did not find it funny.
“clearly was talking about herself” [in terms of ego].
“I never figured her to resort to tacky press just to sell a few tickets,” says Franklin, who adds she has never met Turner. “I really had put her in a different class — higher than that. No one has been more gracious … to their peers than I have, and I am confident and secure enough to do so, unlike some others.”
The actor who played as “Randon Task” in the first “Austin Powers” movie has been charged with gang rape.
Joe Son was arrested back in May for felony vandalism charges but no one has been able to connect the dots. Son was required to take DNA samples after his arrest and was linked to an unsolved viscious gang rape where an innocent woman was blindfolded, pistol whipped, and brutalized.
1st Michelle now Brandy. Brandy is now the latest artist to see their album being pushed back. Her 5th album titled Human was scheduled for a November 11th release, around the same time as Beyonce’s scheduled album (I Am…) release (Nov 18th).
Human will now be released on December 9th where it will face competition with other artists such as Ciara and Keri Hilson.
Beyonce seems to be telling it all this week. We think she is tired of being overshadowed by Rihanna.
Besides letting us in on her marraige to Jay-Z, Bey is now revealing the title of her third solo album and the ladies that inspired her to make this album. The album will be released in stores on Nov 18th.
“It’s broad,” she told Essence when discussing the album. “But I had to try it, because I remember Aretha Franklin said a great singer can sing anything and make it her own.”
Beyonce has also revealed that she and Jay-Z did tattoo their ring fingers. They tattooed their fingers with the Roman Numeral 4 (IV) to symbolize thier wedding vows at times when they weren’t wearing their rings. The number 4 represents his birthday (December 4) and her birthday (September 4) and their wedding anniversary (April 4).
She recently released two singles Titled “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies (Put a ring on it)”.

Congrats to Allen and wife Tawanna Iverson on baby number 5. New baby girl, Dream Alijha Iverson. Dream was born at 4:30 PM in Denver on Oct. 7, weighing in at 5-lbs/15-oz, and becomes the youngest of five children for Allen and Tawanna.
New York is hating on Jennifer Hudson and Punk’s relationship.
“He’s really loving being Mr. Jennifer Hudson. I think he’s loving the lavish things she brings to his life, he’s seeing the world due to Jennifer’s success. Can you love this person if they lose all of this tomorrow? She needs to find out. I just hope people are marrying each other for the right reasons. It’s a mixed match, it won’t work.
