We already knew, but you

After Proposition 8, the law that would have amended marriage in California, was recently turned down, Wanda Sykes decided to come out and confirm what everyone pretty much already knew.  That she is in fact a lesbian and has been for awhile.

Regardless of her sexual status, I still like Ms Sykes, but the one problem I have with homosexuals is, why do they feel the need to “flaunt” their sexual orientation?  I mean seriously, I don’t get the big deal with “coming out”.  You don’t see straight people screaming from the rooftops that they’re straight do you?
