The Atlanta
If you do a search online about “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”, you’ll find comments like, “ghetto”, “disturbing”, and “empty”. After watching the season premiere and the second episode last night, I gotta tell you, I don’t see the basis for these straight up attacks on these women.
Yes, each of them has achieved some level of success because of the men they chose to be married to (or divorced from), but what’s so horrible about that? Any man with a pen!s knows that women like security, and what more security than someone with alot of money?
I also don’t understand why everyone keeps screaming that this season is too “ghetto”. Did you see last seasons episode with the white women from Orange County? They weren’t exactly “classy”. Bottom line, these women are black, succesful (by whatever means), and aren’t scared to flaunt it. So that makes them ghetto? Please. We personally think they are “fabulous”!

All it is is people don’t like to African Americans on a come up. Just because this women might let our a curse word every now and then or not get along with each other all the time (just as the other Housewives of Orange County and New York have done. i.e. Ramona of NYC and her bitchassness towards any and everyone or Vicki (Orange County) and her neurotic ass), makes this season, GHETTO?! Damn, why can’t we just give props when props are due?! Regardless of how they recieved their claim to fame or finances, these women are still holdin’ their own! Deshawn founded and now manages a non-profit organization to uplift young women, Lisa has at least 3 businesses she runs, Sheree is working on her own clothing line, etc.
As I stated before, give props were props are due. If you can’t handle seeing black people suceed, then move the %$&# out the US because OBAMA IS ABOUT TO BE PRESIDENT and we’re about to really see some CHANGE!
totally agreeing , i dont understand why people feel the need to constantly put the black woman and not all of them are gold diggers if really, because first of the asian/black wife owns her own baby clothing line, the one who had the party in the 1st episode was born with money and she just happens to be married to a entertainment lawyer but trust that lady had money way b4 him, but anyway im not gonna sit here nd tell u about each one of them but trust they are not ghetto, their successful women of color and until u have ur own success nd ur on their stus dont comment on them.

I Agree With Both Of You , Bravo Better Not Take This Season Off Air Damn Weather They Like it or Not We get Money. Black People Get Money. And Some people Change when they get it and Some Don’t and Fortunately This season Shows a Variety Of Black Woman with very different attitudes and Personalitys And Lets Be real the New york and Orange County women were gold digging also The Real House wives Overall Is Showing How Women Hustle Regaurless of How they Getting it Its not like these woman are walking around with 6 kisd and different baby daddies wasent there a woman on the Orange County Season Who had two different baby daddies and had just got in engaged with another man. I’ll leave it alone and review the seasons
I didn’t watch the other 2 Real Housewives shows from NY and the OC. However, from what I’ve heard, they, too, showed a lot of excess. What we need to realize is that Bravo is in this to sell advertising and make money. This is doing it right now. The thing is, these women believe the hype. I’m not mad at any of them for their station in life. But its also important to be humble. How are you making a mark on society by buying 5 pairs of shoes for $6500? Where would any of them be without the men that they married (or, in the case of Kim, screwed behind his wife’s back)? If NeNe’s HUSBAND’s money dried up today, would she still be with him? Would the other “housewives” still roll with her? Yes, let’s hope and pray that Obama gets to the White House. Remember a few years ago, one Black celebrity who was not registered to vote, said that he didn’t have to vote because he’s RICH, and the things that “normal” society has to deal with do not affect him. I wonder which of the ATL housewives will be at the polls on Nov. 4?

I believe so many have forgotten the definition of Ghetto. Supposed upscale women cussing like teamsters and threatening to rip off each others tacky wigs. Ne Ne oweing everybody in the country. She was supposedly a stripper and why dont black people go by the name they are given. My name is Lawntawndra and I expect to be called by my very pretty name. Not some nickname like cooter hole or Ne Ne..Sheree is trying to brag about herself like someone would want to be her..without some ghetto sports player she would still be stealing clothes out of stores and having kids at 12. For some reason Black people dont tip and are cheap just the way it is yet the one Housedwife gives a free benefit for all these women to come to try to show themselves and find someone to pay their bills also so they can be lazy. No wonder no one bid on the auction. They dont have any money. They are just there to get somethng free. Kim looks like she is 40 years old and the poor thing has such ugly children. I never knew so many Black Sports players had fat Black wives. You always see them with skinny white women like OJ Simpson. Ne Ne has no taste in clothes always wearing something where her boobs are just hanging like they need to be wired up. And what a long tall drink of water she is. I want to see the next season..where will they live since they are all losing their homes, and owe so much money to everyone. I agree. I mean the show is called real housewives, not women who became succesful on their own. There isn’t anything wrong with marrying a successful man. Even if Ne Ne was a stripper, she has come a long way from those days.
