DJ AM is Grateful

DJ AM is speaking out about his horrific experience.  He gives his story about how he and Travis Barker excaped the firery plane wreck that happened on September, 20, 2008. 

DJ AM, Real Name Adam Goldstien, says that he is:

“The Luckiest Man Alive”

The crash badly burned Goldstien and Travis Barker and claimed the lives of 4 others. He reveals that when he got on the plane, he took off his shoes and took a nap only to be rudley awaken by a fiery plane crash.  He says he woke up to a Screaming Travis Barker and a flame engulfed plane.  He goes on to say:

“Travis jerked upon the door and slid on his butt down a wing that was on fire. I tried to cover my face as I jumped through a fireball. As soon as I hit the ground, I remembered ‘Stop, drop and roll,’ so I started rolling,”

The Plane Crash

“My eyebrows and layers of skin were burned off my face,” he said. “My forehead was gouged and my arm had skin hanging off. I was in shock and didn’t feel anything.”

Travis was whisked away in an ambulance in excruciating pain and and worried about the planes other passengers. 

He is currently recovering from the last of 3 surgeries that he underwent from the severe burns.  He says that he will never fly in a small plane again and:

“My emotions go back and forth,” he says. “I can’t believe I made it. I’m just grateful.”

DJ AM says that he is recovering and ready to head out on tour with rapper Jay-Z.

“This is the biggest thing that’s happened in my career.”
