In a recent interview with Pitchfork Media, The artist said that the father of her baby is her fiance Ben Brewer, frontman for NYC rockers the Exit and son of Warner Music Group CEO Edgar Bronfman, Jr.
M.I.A also said:
“When I found out I was pregnant and ‘Paper Planes’ was in the iTunes top 10,” M.I.A. told Pitchfork, “it seemed like the whole world was reshuffled in one week, and all my plans went out the window. And that’s the lesson…you can’t make plans, and you can’t say shit.”
She made sure to point out:
“I got engaged first, then I got pregnant, kids.”
